Trumac and Carrier Transicold delivers for Your M&S

With the opening of their third M&S retail outlet in Guernsey, Creasey’s who hold the exclusive franchise for Marks & Spencer on the island, decided to acquire a new truck for their distribution fleet. Required primarily for inter store deliveries, they specified a DAF LF45 7.5tonne rigid chassis, fitted with a 5m Trumac refrigerated box body.

The 5m Trumac body complies with the strict Guernsey regulations ensuring that the body width does not exceed 2304mm. Refrigeration is supplied through a Carrier Transicold Xarios 600 MT multi-temperature refrigeration system.

  Delivering for M&S
Joining a 4 strong vehicle fleet, the latest rigid features the strong “Your M&S” branding and will be delivering perishable and ambient goods between the three M&S retail food outlets across the island.

According to Andy Lemaitre from Creasey’s, “The M&S brand represents very strong values to our customers and this must be reflected in our vehicles. The Trumac body is not only a quality product but it looks the part to, and enhances the visual appeal of the truck. Since it has been on the road, the refrigerated body has performed well up to our expectations.”

The refrigeration system uses a roof mounted moveable bulkhead to enable twin compartments within the body, with a frozen compartment up to -20ºC at the front of the body and an ambient compartment for temperatures of +5ºC at the rear.

Access to the front frozen compartment is though a single side door on the nearside of the vehicle, whilst at the rear the vehicle has a Ratcliff RV1007 column taillift with a 1000kg capacity.
